Things I'm doing instead of blogging about our Orlando trip:
Enjoying the recently-reduced heat and humidity (we'd finally gotten about two weeks' worth of real summer, and I'm totally over it--no more sweating in the subway, please).
Trying on clothes I can't afford.
Repeatedly enjoying the amazing hilarity that is Heidi Montag's Miss Universe performance.
Playing Word Warp on my iPhone.
Watching Mad Men.
Being jealous of my friend's awesome new apartment on the Upper East Side (and eating takeout in said apartment while "helping" her move in).
Going to Ellis Island.
Re-reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Looking up airfare to London, Sydney, and the Bahamas.
Anticipating my parents' visit next month.
Eating popcorn.
Eating popcorn. Duh. You ARE Laura, aren't you?
ReplyDeleteAnd wow, Miss Montag... what a fabulous dancer, right? :)
Oh my gosh I watched that video of Heidi a few times in a row I was dying. I can't believe someone let her do that. Mmmm. Sounds like a productive procrastination. (Is that an oxymoron?) Also, let me know how The White Queen is!
ReplyDeleteGoing to Ellis Island is basically like doing family history...so you're making good use of your time.
ReplyDeleteThe challenge was not WHETHER you could name the movie, but who could name it first.
ReplyDeleteI knew it would be you, Ostler. I was counting on it. LYLAS.
Oh don't worry Filth, I already started working on your birthday shoutout for November! I hope you shed multiple tears.
ReplyDeleteUhh that is the most incredible performance I have ever seen. And that costume Heidi was wearing? Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who choreographed it but whoever it was knew what Heidi was capable of doing and it isn't much apparently...
Looks to me like you're making great use of your time. We must be related because I'm queen of procrastination. I should make a list of all the things I'm putting off but there wouldn't be room enough here.
ReplyDeleteOkay, you've proved your point. Aren't you even a little bothered by the fact that "Procrastination" has appeared at the top of your blog for over a month? I'm coming back there to set things straight young lady.
ReplyDeleteDad
I'm going to have to agree with Mark. Will Laura Ostler ever blog again?
ReplyDeleteDear Laura's blog,
ReplyDeletePlease don't take Laura's absence personally. She's just being lazy and stubborn, but she'll come around someday. It's what she does. I still check in on you every once in a while to make sure you're okay. I told Laura I felt like I was betraying her, but I can't really take sides in this little falling out. I like you both. Someday Laura will come back, the past will be forgotten, and the resulting posts will be hilarious. In the meantime, I'll keep checking in on you. You're gonna pull through this, I just know it. Hang in there, blog.
